Walker announces three appointments to UW System Board of Regents
Gov. Scott Walker has announced the appointments of Tim Higgins, Gary Roberts, and Gerald Whitburn to the UW System Board of Regents. The men are from Appleton, La Crosse and Wausau, respectively. Higgins, with a bachelor’s in economics from UW-Madison, is an attorney and owner of a healthcare management company. Roberts, who studied political science and psychology at UW-La Crosse, is a former restaurateur and local Chamber of Commerce chairman who now runs Morrison Creek Cranberry Corporation. Whitburn is a former CEO of Church Mutual Insurance Company and state cabinet secretary (DILHR and DHSS) who earned his bachelor’s in political science and history from UW-Oshkosh and master’s in poly sci from UW-Madison.
