Crossing the bridge on the ‘College Express’

UW-Green Bay personnel hopped aboard the College Express to “Crossing the Bridge,” a collaborative meeting between Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and UW-Green Bay, last Friday (Oct, 19, 2018).

The College Express route was added as a Green Bay metro route, August 20, 2018 to help college students get quicky to downtown and the west side. The bus runs every half hour between 7:15 a.m. and 7:15 p.m. and makes a stop at the Transit Center.

The meeting on Oct. 19, was planned to discuss ways in which the two institutions can continue to work together to make transfers more seamless, create collaborative programs and share resources. “Crossing the Bridge” began in Fall of 2016 as an effort by Chancellor Gary L. Miller, President Rafn, Provost Greg Davis, and (originally) Lori Suddick and (presently) Kathryn Rogalski to work together, rather than competitively, for the gain of Northeast Wisconsin. The meetings are held once each semester, alternating between NWTC and UW-Green Bay.
