University officials testify to Assembly Higher Education Committee

On Monday, the Assembly Committee on Colleges and Universities held an informational hearing regarding UW-Madison’s admissions process. The focus of the hearing was the findings of two studies released by the Center for Equal Opportunity (CEO).  Regent Board President Michael Spector and UW System President Kevin Reilly submitted written testimony reaffirming the value of the Regent’s Freshman Admissions Policy used at every UW campus. UW-Madison Provost Paul Delucca and Admissions Director Adele Brumfield also appeared before the committee. Link to the Wisconsin Eye video coverage of the entire hearing.
