Season-opener, Ahman Green mark big week for Weidner neighbor GBSO
It’s been a big news week for the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra, our new neighbor at the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts. The GBSO opens a new season — its 99th — Saturday (Oct. 13), with conductor Donato Cabrera taking the stage. Ahead of that performance, the GBSO on Thursday (Oct. 11) announced former Green Bay Packer Ahman Green as celebrity spokesperson for its Music for a Great City youth program, offered in conjunction with the Green Bay School District. The announcement was made during a Thursday press conference in Fort Howard Hall at the Weidner.
