UW-Green Bay’s 6:30 Concert Series continues with ‘Tributo a Ginastera’ Oct.18

‘Tributo a Ginastera,’ the second installment of the 6:30 Concert Series, will feature pianist Jovanni-Rey Verceles de Pedro. This free performance will take place Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Weidner Center’s Fort Howard Hall. Filipino-American pianist Jovanni-Rey
Verceles de Pedro has developed an international reputation as a soloist, collaborator, pedagogue, speaker, entrepreneur and philanthropist. He has been deeply influenced by the life and music of Argentinian composer Alberto Ginastera. In his Tributo a Ginastera
recital, de Pedro will perform Ginastera’s Sonata para piano, Op. 22, as well as a selection of recently composed works inspired by Ginastera. This concert is free and open to the public.
