Warren Gerds/Critic at Large: ‘UWGB resumes eclectic programs this week’

Warren Gerds/Critic at Large provides a snapshot of UW-Green Bay’s “eclectic” line-up of music programs. “It’s a kind of musical kaleidoscope, the ‘6:30 Concert Series’ of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay music program,” he writes.  “This season, the series has touches of the Winter Olympics, Miles Davis, flash compositions, duet mania, a live recording session and more. Says Michelle McQuade Dewhirst of the faculty, who oversees the series, ‘We are interested in presenting a wide array of musical styles, and the extra thing we add to that experience is insights from performers or composers — whoever happens to be involved in a particular event  — in a way to bring some more context and some more information to the audience so that it can be a richer experience.'” See more.
