Vicki Updike, named to ‘Top Women in Cross Channel Retail’ to speak at University, Oct. 8

Vicki Updike, former president of Silver Star Brands (fka Miles Kimball Company) who was named to the Top Women in Cross-Channel Retail by Retail Magazine, is the keynote speaker at WWBIC’s Strong Women Strong Coffee program from 7:30 a.m to 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019, in the 1965 Room of the University Union on the Green Bay Campus.

This daybreak networking event is for women who are focused on achieving something fresh for themselves and encourage building and growing meaningful connections. The program is casual and features a local strong woman’s story of success. The event will help brew new ideas for growing professionally, networking, learning from an “espresso-monial” (a shot of inspiration from a local female leader who shares her story through a brief Q & A) and connecting with other inventive, inspired, resourceful, and highly productive business owners and industry/government experts.

Updike is the owner of New Sage Strategies and brings extensive experience in executive leadership, business planning, finance and organizational development. Prior to consulting, Vicki held president and CMO positions at Silver Star Brands (fka Miles Kimball Company) and was an operating executive with Bergstrom Automotive. Updike is the co-chair for the New North, board member of the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce, and on the advisory councils of Leadership Oshkosh and UW-Oshkosh’s business school.  She is the recipient of the 2014 Oshkosh Woman of Achievement Award. Updike is a BBA graduate from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater and an MBA graduate from NYIT.

The event is free and includes a full breakfast. Pre-registration is encouraged either online at www.wwbic.com/classes or by calling (920) 944-2700. The event is hosted at UWGB by the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business.

This is the second “Strong Women Strong Coffee” event at UW-Green Bay.
