Photo gallery: Big crowd as Phoenix volleyball hosts MU

The boisterous home crowd of 834 was terrific, but in the end the Phoenix women’s volleyball team fell short in a three-set loss to in-state rival Marquette Tuesday at the Kress Events Center. “I was really impressed with the crowd we had and the energy we had from our crowd,” said Phoenix head coach Michaela Franklin about the atmosphere for the home opener. “The Green Bandana Brigade (student section) was awesome.
