The UW-Green Bay men’s golf team defeated host Bowling Green State University in a shoot-out to win the season-opening John Piper Intercollegiate on Tuesday. The Phoenix and BGSU each shot tournament-best rounds of 283 on Tuesday’s third round, with the good guys winning in a sudden-death tie-breaker. “This was probably the biggest tournament we’ve won in the history of the program,” coach Bill Lindmark said.
