Manitowoc Campus is a refuge for 1,300 bike riders
The Manitowoc Campus was a refuge for more than 1,000 bike riders last weekend (July 20-21, 2019), taking part in the Scenic Shore 150 Bike Tour—a two-day, 150-mile, fully-supported cycling event that is open to riders of all ages and abilities who ride from Mequon to Sturgeon Bay, raising funds in support of a cure for blood cancer.
With the threatening weather on the first day of the race, organizers had to stop bikers in Sheboygan and bring them to their planned stop on the UW-Green Bay, Manitowoc Campus (photo above). One of Wisconsin’s most popular bike rides, the Scenic Shore 150 is the largest locally organized and supported event for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, raising more than $1.4 million, to date.
