Today’s Video: ‘Stars’ camp gives diverse teens a lens on college life

Isaiah Ezemba is an eighth-grader from Milwaukee. Cynthia Rodriguez will be a Preble High School freshman. They and other young people are on campus this week for “Stars of the Future,” a pre-college camp led by Mike Schmitt of Media Services and TEAM. The camp is funded in part through the state’s Department of Public Instruction. It gives students, especially students of color and bilingual students, hands-on experience in television production, and it also introduces them to life on a college campus.
