Hey, who’s the guy with JoAnn Miller? Looks like President Obama
JoAnn Miller, a college prep and advance placement biology teacher at Oconto Falls High School, was recently among a group of educators honored by President Obama at the White House. Miller is a 2001 graduate of UW-Green Bay. She was named Wisconsin’s Teacher of the Year in 2012 for her work in promoting math and science. She also provides support to teachers trying to achieve national certification. An astute Log reader sent in this video clip of President Obama recognizing the nation’s top educators. It’s group recognition for the state honorees, but still neat to see our alumna (in gray blazer, about three rows behind the President) at 1600 Pennsylvania. Or read the archived feature on Miller written by Kelly McBride.
