Chancellor Harden, others expected to attend
UW-Green Bay Chancellor Thomas K. Harden and Chancellor Richard Wells of Oshkosh are among local higher education executives expected to participate in Wednesday’s international economic development roundtable, scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kress. The session here is an outgrowth of the decision earlier this year by UW System President Kevin Reilly to establish the UW System International Economic Development Task Force. The goal is to develop a statewide strategy aimed to strengthen Wisconsin’s opportunities for foreign investment. UW System institutions, along with those of the Wisconsin Technical College System, boast an array of assets in international education, research, technologies, and relationships. The Task Force is co-chaired by Ward and Gilles Bousquet, dean of the Division of International Studies and vice provost for globalization at UW-Madison.
