Meeting the media: Highlights from Chancellor-designate teleconference

Chancellor-designate Miller also received his first introduction to the local news media today, speaking during a hybrid news teleconference this afternoon. He called in to offer thoughts and answer questions, as did outgoing Chancellor Tom Harden (who is currently traveling). On site were UW System Regent Tim Higgins and UW-Green Bay Search and Screen Committee members Prof. Cheryl Grosso and Associate Prof. Jennifer Mokren. The group fielded questions covering transition, affordability, sustainability, the state of higher education and much more — including whether the new chancellor has the appropriate outerwear for colder climes.
