Celebrating 25 years and counting at the Weidner Center
The Weidner Center welcomes an exclusive line-up for the celebration of its 25th Silver Anniversary! Some of the highlights include violinist Wayne Lin, who was only 11 years old at the time of his Weidner Center debut performance in 1993 on UW-Green Bay campus, and a Christmas favorite “How The Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical.”
Kelli Strickland, Weidner executive and artistic director introduced the celebration and the new season with some help. As she was speaking, a foot-tall robot arrived from the wing. It was looking to audition for the coming season… It was a nod to UW-Green Bay’s science and tech folks, and increased collaboration between University and Weidner programming including a section in the subscription season that carries the title “Innovation, Ideas, Technology.”
