Campus mourns the loss of Carol Jean Gilsdorf
UW-Green Bay Theatre and Dance, and Weidner Center staff and patrons, celebrate the life and mourn the passing of Carol Jean Gilsdorf the “Notorious CJG” on May 15, 2017. After a meaningful career in nursing and healthcare, Carol spent a great amount of time with family and volunteering in the community — most notably for Paul’s Pantry, the Literacy Council and the Weidner Center, where she served as an usher for nearly a decade. “It is such a wonderful legacy to have lived a life caring for others. It was perhaps because of her grandmother’s love of the arts and “things theatrical” that led her granddaughter, Andrea Cornett, to study Visual Art and Theatre in college. Carol Jean Gilsdorf, may “flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.” (Submitted by Theatre and Dance Chair, Jeff Entwistle.) Gathering of family and friends will be held from 9 to11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Drive, Allouez. A full obituary is published online.
