The principal is slowly building in the new UW-Green Bay Public Safety Scholarship fund, started by seed money from UWGB’s finest. The intent is to eventually endow a permanent scholarship open to all UW-Green Bay sophomores (the University as a whole needs more sophomore scholarships to aid in retention) who happen to be good law-abiding members of the campus community. (Translation: Applications would be accepted from pretty much any sophomore, in any major). On Thursday, May 29, there will be a fundraiser for this scholarship at Applebee’s. When you dine-in or order your food to go from Applebee’s in Green Bay on this special day, you present a flyer and Applebee’s will donate 15% of food sales from the guest check of all redeemed flyers to the UW-Green Bay Public Safety Scholarship fund. If you’re interested, please email Officer Chad Kleman and he will send you the flyer. Otherwise, stop at the Public Safety office in IS to pick one up. Thank you for your support and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact Officer Kleman at ext. 2105 or email.
