UW-Green Bay Communication student wins broadcasters award

UW-Green Bay Communication Freshman  Jordon Lawrenz (emphasis: Sports Broadcasting and Journalism), won first place at the 2020 Wisconsin Broadcasters Association Awards Gala!  (First Place: Medium Market; Play-by-Play for a game (Roncalli/Kiel girls basketball for WOMT) he called during his junior year in high school. He is a double major in sports communication and journalism from Manitowoc and currently attends the Manitowoc Campus.

More than 100 radio and television stations from across Wisconsin submitted 1,356 entries; they were judged by professional broadcasters from outside Wisconsin. According to Prof. Phil Clampitt, this was not a student award.
