Lynx release Wojta; former Phoenix standout signs with Belgian team


Former Green Bay women’s basketball All-American Julie Wojta will not be donning a Minnesota Lynx uniform during regular season play, but the18th overall pick in the WNBA Draft has just signed a contract with Eurocupteam Dexia Namur Capitale in Belgium. There’s no doubt the Phoenix faithful — nearly 70 of whom traveled to Minneapolis to watch Wojta play for the Lynx Tuesday — couldn’t be prouder of the star.
