WiSys promotes services, partnerships at UW-Green Bay
The WiSys Technology Foundation celebrated its anniversary this week with a visit by leadership to UW-Green Bay. An open house was co-hosted by officials including (above) Arujun Sanga, WiSys executive director; Gary L. Miller, UW-Green Bay chancellor; and Interim UW System Vice President David Ward, CEO of NorthStar Consulting, Inc., who happens to be chairman of the board of trustees of the WiSys Technology Foundation. The mission of WiSys is to identify innovative technologies developed throughout the UW System and bring them to the marketplace. WiSys regional liaison Bob Wise, Ph.D., encourages UW-Green Bay faculty and staff to contact him to learn more about WiSys.
Earlier during the daylong visit, four UW-Green Bay faculty members presented at a luncheon hosted by the WiSys Board of Trustees Sharing information about projects currently under way were Associate Prof. Mike Zorn of Natural and Applied Science, “Smart-Phone Spectrophotometer”; Associate Prof. of NAS Heidi Fencl, “Physics Coach App”; and Associate Prof. of Nursing Susan Gallagher-Lepak and Assistant Prof. T. Heather Herdman, “Development of an Electronic Nursing Diagnosis Clinical App.”
