Chuck Rybak, assistant professor of Humanistic Studies and English, proudly shares a link to a student essay “showing interdisciplinarity at its best.” Kerrie Sutton, a senior and a student in Rybak’s course English 304: Advanced Creative Nonfiction, has just been published in the Yale Journal for the Humanities in Medicine. In January 2011 Sutton sustained a serious knee injury while snowboarding, and her first-person account of the accident and aftermath make for excellent reading.
