Commencement at a glance
As if any participants needed a reminder, here it is: Chancellor Thomas K. Harden will preside at the spring commencement ceremony at 11:30 a.m. Saturday (May 15) in the Kress Events Center on campus. A near-capacity crowd of about 5,000 is expected for the ticket-only event. The roughly 850 eligible to graduate represent a UW-Green Bay record. About 675 of those students have pre-registered to participate in the formal cap-and-gown ceremony. Full news release.
Kendle to receive Chancellor’s Award
Paul Kendle of Green Bay is the May 2010 recipient of the Chancellor’s Award. A prominent local executive in the financial services industry, Kendle has an extensive record of volunteer service on behalf of organizations and activities that serve the community. Full news release.
Outstanding Student Award is also class speaker
Nicholas J. Vlies of Green Bay is the May 2010 recipient of the Outstanding Student Award as selected by the Alumni Association. He’s also the student speaker for the graduating class. Full news release.
Alumnus Taylor to deliver commencement address
Steve Taylor, a 1979 Business Administration graduate, will deliver the Spring 2010 Commencement Address at the Kress Events Center on Saturday, May 15. Full news release.
