Front-page story mentions First-Year Experience

The First-Year Experience program at UW-Green Bay gets a plug, a small one, on the front page of Friday’s Green Bay Press-Gazette. The headline is about spring graduation and the fact private St. Norbert College had some members of the Class of 2011 benefit from the school’s four-year graduation guarantee. UW-Green Bay is referenced as a comparison. A metropolitan public institution with more part-time and returning adult students, and a different mission, UW-Green Bay has graduation “rates” better measured over periods of five years or longer, with numbers in the 50 to 60 percent range considered fairly healthy.
