Associate Prof. Marcelo Cruz kicks off inaugural Mayor’s Dialogue series
On Monday, May 10, associate professor Marcelo Cruz (PEA) kicked off the inaugural Mayor’s Dialogue series sponsored by the Center for Civic Engagement. The Mayor’s Dialogue series was created by Green Bay Mayor Eric Genrich to bring UW-Green Bay Faculty into the discussion with city employees on important issues facing our community. Professor Cruz’s talk was entitled “Latinos are not a monolith social group: the complexities of Latino identity in Green Bay,” and was attended by more than 50 municipal employees and the Mayor. The next talk will be this summer featuring Prof. Jillian Jacklin (DJS).
