When student Leo Moua of Wausau crossed the stage Saturday, it marked diploma No. 30,000 in a 42-year string of UW-Green Bay commencement ceremonies dating to the very first, on June 1, 1970.

The program was stopped briefly to note the milestone, and the Public Administration major received extra cheers and handshakes along with a special gift bag from the UW-Green Bay Alumni Association.

Moua received a framed commemorative certificate, a gold-embossed leather padfolio with pen, a UW-Green Bay travel blanket and an assortment of University-branded items from the Phoenix Bookstore.
