Community Partnership Award in Business awarded to Dianne Murphy, Ph. D.
The Cofrin School of Business is pleased to award the Community Partnership Award in Business to Dianne Murphy, Ph. D. The purpose of this award is to reward faculty and staff who go above and beyond to impact students, the Cofrin School of Business, and the greater Green Bay business community with measurable positive outcomes for the economy and job creation. Murphy has fostered numerous meaningful connections with Green Bay business leaders by serving as the Expert in Residence for the Green Bay Packers Mentor-Protégé Program (GBP MPP), planning engaging company tours for UWGB students, and connecting students with business leaders and providing them real-world experience through Consulting Teams Projects. She regularly chooses to extend her GBP MPP mentor involvement beyond group huddles by analyzing business problems and guiding small women- and minority-lead businesses through possible solutions, leading to job creation. Over the past two years, Murphy has been instrumental in growing Imperial Supplies’ internship program and connecting them with student interns, the majority of which have been hired on full time after graduation. One reference perfectly summed-up her efforts as a “genuine partnership.” Members of the Cofrin School of Business and the University extend their gratitude.
