Partners in Health shares three-month report from Haiti

Volunteers from the UW-Green Bay community joined forces to raise money for the “Stand with Haiti” campaign following the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that ravaged Haiti on Jan. 12. They channeled donations to the Partners In Health medical-relief organization. This week, PIH reported back to donors, three months later, that the organization’s personnel treated nearly 5,000 critically injured patients in the days following the quake, established clinics in resettlement areas serving 88,000 evacuees, and shipped 422 tons of medicines, supplies and equipment to the disaster zone.
