Chamber announces its annual dinner; congrats to Pfeifer

J.R. Martinez, the inspirational U.S. Army veteran who survived an IED explosion to launch a new career as a motivational speaker, television actor and “Dancing with the Stars” winner, will be the featured speaker when the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual dinner Wednesday, Oct. 24, at the KI Convention Center in downtown Green Bay. Pfeifer honor — Suzy Pfeifer, a former colleague in the Office of University Advancement here at UW-Green Bay, now with Encompass Early Education and Care, has been announced as the 2012 recipient of the Chamber’s Athena Award. Pfeifer and her husband, Ron, are longtime supporters of the University and also its women’s basketball program. Suzy Pfeifer will receive the award Oct. 24 at the Chamber’s annual dinner.
