Rep. Kristina Shelton talks about her background and path into office
On April 13, 2022, students in Prof. Aaron Weinschenk’s (Political Science) congressional politics class got the chance to hear from State Representative Kristina Shelton. Rep. Shelton talked about her background and path to office and then students were able to ask her questions about her experiences in the state legislature. Topics that were covered included education policy, homelessness/housing, marijuana policy/legalization, the process of running for office, political campaigning, bipartisanship, and the legislative process, among many others.
