Respect: UW-Green Bay women finish No. 13 in coaches’ poll

In what could be interpreted as yet another mark of respect, the Phoenix women’s basketball team was voted No. 13 in the final USA Today/ESPN coaches’ poll of the season, taken after Baylor defeated Notre Dame for the NCAA Division I championship Tuesday night. The ranking no doubt reflects UW-Green Bay’s 31-2 season record and lofty ranking all season, despite the team going out in the round of 32 to eventual Elite Eight entrant Kentucky. (Point of interest: The Phoenix finished one spot ahead of fellow 31-2 mid-major and late-season darling of the polls, Delaware.) Click here
