Previously she worked as Associate General Counsel for Global Trade Compliance-Sanctions at Facebook, spent almost a decade practicing international law as an attorney-advisor in the Office of the Legal Advisor at the U.S. Department of State, and clerked for Justice Dana Fabe on the Alaska Supreme Court.
