Haiti drive jumps to $3,500
With a full week to go as of this writing, more than $3,500 had been donated as of Friday (Feb. 19) to the “UW-Green Bay Stands With Haiti” campaign. This total represents online donations, cash/check donations collected on campus, and proceeds from a “Dash for Cash” held at the men’s game against Cleveland State at the Resch Center and at the women’s game vs. UIC at the Kress. Says Prof. Angie Bauer-Dantoin, who is helping coordinate the drive, “The student orgs involved are thrilled with the progress thus far, commenting that our campus community has been incredibly generous.” The ambitious goal of $5,000 for the Partners in Health medical-aid program is in sight. If you need background on the monthlong campaign, check details here. Prof. Bauer-Dantoin says fellow employees can still drop off cash or check donations to her or Juliet Cole until the end of February. The PIH page for online donations will also be open until then, at this site.
