Green Bay men make it two straight in final game of the season at Resch
Notching its second-straight Horizon League victory in the team’s final game at the Resch Center this season, Green Bay cruised to an 85-67 win over Youngstown State on Saturday afternoon. Senior Khalil Small led the Phoenix with 27 points, his seventh 20-plus point scoring effort in his last nine games. The Phoenix (10-15, 5-7 HL) knocked down 11 3-pointers in the win and has now won 3 of its last 5 games. Former Phoenix Head Coach Mike Heideman was recognized at halftime by an emotional speech from Hall of Fame Coach Dick Bennett. Heideman was joined at center court by Green Bay alumni and past coaches. Green Bay will go for its first three-game winning streak against the UW-Milwaukee Panthers at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2. The team travels for most of February, with its last “home” game, the Friday, Feb. 16 game vs. UIC at the Kress Center, on campus.
