Airman thankful for care packages

Technical Sergeant Eric Junot, of the 440th Airlift Wing at Pope Air Force Base in North Carolina, wrote an e-mail to say “thanks” for the care packages the Vets 4 Vets Club at UW-Green Bay sent to U.S. servicemen and women.

“I am writing to you in regards to the care package that I received while I was overseas deployed for OEF/OIF. I appreciated it very much and it was nice to have something to share around Christmas with the guys in our unit. Attached are some pictures that I took with the UWGB pennant that was enclosed with the care package. Once again, thank you very much for the support!”

The aircraft, a C-130H transport plane that used to be based in Milwaukee, bears the city of Green Bay emblem. Junot said he “figured since it was UWGB that sent the care package, that I would take my picture by the ‘spirit of Green Bay.'”

Junot is a friend of a student at UW-Green Bay.
