Congratulations Green Bay women on double-overtime thriller

The Green Bay women’s basketball team (11-10, 6-3) earned two wins on the road this weekend, 70-63 in double-overtime against Youngstown State, and a big win over Cleveland State, 74-54, on Sunday. It was only the third home loss in Youngstown’s last 27 home games. The Phoenix stays on the road for games at Wright State on Thursday, at Northern Kentucky on Saturday, and at UW-Milwaukee, Saturday, Feb. 8. Green Bay returns to Titletown this weekend for a pair of home games against league-leading Wright State and second-place Northern Kentucky (NKU). The Phoenix will first host NKU at the Kress Center on Friday night at 8 p.m. tip time, with the game being televised nationally on ESPNU. Fans can purchase tickets for only $10, and UW-Green Bay students will receive a free GB flag. The game will also be part of the fan-favorite Bud Light Night series. The Phoenix hosts Wright State at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 2 at the Resch Center.
