UW-Green Bay signs agreements with Lakeshore Technical College and Fox Valley Technical College

Both Lakeshore Technical College and Fox Valley Technical College signed articulation agreements that will allow students earning an Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) from LTC or FVTC to seamlessly transfer to UW-Green Bay with junior standing to continue their education.

Fox Valley Technical College officially started offering the AA and AS degree programs this week with the start of the spring semester. Each associate degree offered by FVTC consists of 60 credits, including 39 to 41 credits of general education and 19 to 21 credits of electives. The programs are financial aid eligible and meet the requirements for general education courses at UWO and UW-Green Bay.

The new degrees launched at Lakeshore in fall. They each require 60 credits including elective courses that allow students to select courses that appeal to their future career plans. Both degrees cover the general education requirements for a student whose goal is to transfer to a four-year college to earn a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree. Students enrolling in the AA and AS degrees can access federal financial aid and veteran’s benefits.

“We are thrilled for this opportunity to create more robust and direct transfer pathways between our institutions that make sense for students and expand the ecosystem of higher education in Northeast Wisconsin,” said UW-Green Bay Chancellor Michael Alexander. “This progress honors the great education that is happening at the technical colleges in our region and provides equitable transfer from technical college degrees into further education at UW-Green Bay. It provides access and opportunity for more students to expand their education beyond high school.”
