Women run over UWM, jump back into Top 25
The Green Bay women’s basketball team jumped back up into the AP Top 25 with a convincing win over UW-Milwaukee, 52-29, on Saturday at the Kress Center. Senior Allie LeClaire led all scorers with a season-high 28 points in front of nearly 3,000 fans. Green Bay is 12-2 overall, 2-1 in league play. The 29 points scored by the Panthers is the lowest in program history, besting the previous mark of 32 points also set against the Phoenix in the 2016 Horizon League Tournament Championship that saw Green Bay emerge with a 64-32 victory and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Green Bay continues its home stand this week, welcoming Youngstown State to the Kress Center on Thursday, Jan. 11 at 7 p.m.
