What’s the long term impact COVID-19 has on colleges and universities? | WLUK

GREEN BAY (WLUK) — Just three weeks ago, a group of hospitals, businesses and organizations formed a group to stop the spread of COVID-19.Now, that group is growing, and launching its first tv ad, and UW-System president Tommy Thompson is the spokesman. UW-Green Bay Chancellor Mike Alexander says students moving online is a trend he’s already seen.

“For a long time universities have been offering classes when it was convenient for them and told students they had to show up,” Alexander began. “I think the coronavirus pandemic has just sped up the way things are moving faster than we thought.”
