Funny food: Gaffigan entertains, hungers Weidner Center crowds

Comedian Jim Gaffigan made food fantastically funny during two performances Saturday (July 27) at the Weidner Center, according to a review from the Green Bay Press-Gazette. Reporter Kendra Meinert covered the Gaffigan show, telling readers that once he’d performed, “any temptation to go home afterward and polish off a pint of ice cream in one sitting in sweatpants somehow seemed like more of a display of patriotic pride than a healthy living sin.” In a curse-free show, Gaffigan talked about the drawbacks of organs and kale (which he likened to “a really bitter spinach with hair”), as well as Waffle House and oysters, talking cheese curds and finishing with his signature Hot Pockets bit, Meinert said.
