SCEDC: Sheboygan County economy remains resilient | WisBusiness
SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI — A primary mission of the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation (SCEDC) is to partner with service providers that provide specialized services to entrepreneurs. The SCEDC takes a symbiotic approach to entrepreneurship, collaborating with a wide range of organizations to assist small businesses with all different types of endeavors. Partnerships like that of the SCEDC’s with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at UW-Green Bay aid Sheboygan County’s continued growth.Director of the SBDC at UW-Green Bay Tara Carr said, “SBDC metrics are a great benchmark to measure the entrepreneurial spirit in our state and we consistently see a strong entrepreneurship presence in Sheboygan County. Sheboygan County consistently ranks towards the top of many Wisconsin SBDC metrics. Over the past six years, from January 2015 through December 2020, Sheboygan County ranked as number one in Wisconsin with more than $56 million in capital formation.”
