‘Good as gold’: Fox 11 covers UW-Green Bay-Packers partnership
WLUK, Fox 11 led Wednesday (July 2) evening’s newscast with a story about UW-Green Bay’s new partnership agreement with the Green Bay Packers. As we told you here this week, the relationship originates with the Division of Outreach and Adult Access and extends benefits campuswide, including advertising opportunities, far-reaching access to the team logo, opportunities for special events and more. Reporter Andrew LaCombe interviewed Packers spokesman Aaron Popkey, Outreach and Adult Access’ Eric Craver and local marketer Aaron Baer for perspective on the partnership. “You put that ‘G’ on anything, and it’s as good as gold,” said Baer, of Baer Performance Marketing in Ashwaubenon. “The great thing about partnering with the Packers is their market is anyone and everyone. Whether you’re a traditional student, a part-time student, a non-traditional student — the Packers’ fans are of all ages.” Added Craver: “Anywhere where we can connect the two brands and indicate that we are a higher education partner of the Green Bay Packers, we’re going to do that.” You can check out the full story, and link to more information about the partnership agreement, by clicking the links below:
