Christian a key speaker at community vigil
A few dozen people gathered in front of Union Congregational Church on Monday night (June 13) to honor those affected by the mass shooting in Orlando. The church was also a spot of solace years ago, where a vigil was held the day following the assassination of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Prof. Stacie Christian (Human Development) helped coordinate the event. Following the vigil, she spoke to news sources including the Green Bay Press-Gazette, regarding the fear and concern expressed to her by LGBTQ students, as well as their families.
