Media roundup: Walker’s campus visit

As we told you here previously, Gov. Scott Walker visited the UW-Green Bay campus Tuesday (June 4), voicing his support for a two-year tuition freeze proposal making its way through the state legislature. The freeze is good news for students, Walker said during his brief remarks, made during the news conference held in MAC Hall. Two UW-Green Bay undergrads joined Walker at the podium, saying the freeze would ease the cost burden on them and their families. Walker also addressed the issue of UW System reserves, calling for increased transparency and accountability moving forward.
