Fisheries specialist on Manitowoc Campus discusses Lake Michigan’s changing ecosystem

Sea Grant Fisheries Specialist at the Manitowoc Campus, Titus Seilheime, wrote an article for the Herald Times Reporter about the focus on Lake Michigan’s changing ecosystem at the event hosted by Wisconsin Maritime Museum. Seilheimer encourages citizens of Manitowoc County to observe the water for better understanding of the ecology and nature of the local areas. The Wisconsin Maritime Museum hosted an event on Wednesday, May 15, featuring a presentation by Seilheimer called “Not Your Grandparent’s Great Lake: Michigan’s Changing Ecosystem.” The presentation took the audience through the history of Lake Michigan, but also took a glimpse in its future.
