MENOMINEE—The M&M Area Community Foundation (MMACF) has extended an invitation to community members to attend an event hosted by their Women’s Giving Circle Steering Committee in partnership with UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus.The book “Evicted” by Matthew Desmond will be the topic of conversation. The discussion will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. May 10 at the UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus Library. No RSVP is required. Refreshments will be served.Desmond followed eight families in Milwaukee as they each struggled to keep a roof over their head. The book will transform your understanding of poverty and economic exploitation while providing fresh ideas for solving one of the 21st century’s most devastating problems, the Foundation said in a press release.
