Alumna Hollingsworth ’89 named president, publisher of ‘The Tennessean’

Alumna Laura Hollingsworth ’89 has made another big move in the media biz, having been named president and publisher of The Tennessean in Nashville. Hollingsworth is a Sturgeon Bay native who got her start in advertising sales at the Green Bay Press-Gazette and most recently held the role of president and publisher at the Des Moines Register. Hollingsworth was UW-Green Bay’s commencement speaker in December 2008, and is a 2011 Distinguished Alumni Award winner. In March 2012, she headlined the University’s After Thoughts program, speaking on innovation and adaptability in the ever-evolving world of news media.
