Linothorax demonstrated for local and international media
The Linothorax Project of UW-Green Bay Prof. Greg Aldrete and graduate student Scott Bartell continues to garner attention — locally and internationally. On Thursday, a crew from the European documentary show Galileo was in Green Bay to learn firsthand about their research into the linen armor that was worn by Alexander the Great and his conquering armor. The Galileo segment is scheduled to appear in a few months.
Also witnessing the demonstration were reporters from WBAY-TV and WLUK-TV.
• Here’s Sarah Thomsen’s report on WBAY-TV. (Best to avert your eyes, liability and lawyer types, as the armor is tested on a live human subject!)
• And here’s Kristin Crowley’s report on WLUK-TV.
