Fox-11 lengthy report on men’s basketball story

Local news coverage continues as UW-Green Bay has confirmed reports that it has requested an outside review of one parent’s allegations that the Phoenix men’s basketball coach mistreated her son through verbal and other abuse. WLUK-TV Fox 11 aired and posted a lengthy story Friday evening. The story quoted director of University Communications Chris Sampson as to why the institution is precluded from saying more at this time: “There are people who would like the chancellor or the athletics director to speak out on it and share some context or their impressions of the program but that’s really not proper if you have an outside investigator coming in,” he said. “So you’re probably not going to hear much from them until we have the question resolved in a factual manner by an outside investigator.” More.
