UW-Green Bay students among those marching for safety this weekend

“A wave of student-led activism following a deadly school shooting in Florida will continue Saturday with the March for Our Lives in Washington, D.C. and sister marches across the country, including Green Bay,” reports the Green Bay Press-Gazette. “The march follows a nationwide walkout by students on March 14 seeking to end to gun violence, improve school safety and honor the 17 people killed by a gunman Feb. 14 at a Florida school. Brown County students in Green Bay, Howard-Suamico, Ashwaubenon and De Pere schools took part in walkouts at their schools. Eight students from De Pere, Ashwaubenon, Bay Port and the UW-Green Bay have been meeting to plan the event.”
