Bright idea: New campus lights featured in story on NBC 26

We told you recently about the energy savings and eco-friendly boost that have come  with re-lighting parts of campus. Now, local news media are taking note. Last week, NBC 26 ran a story about the new lights, talking to students and University Union Director Rick Warpinski, along with John Arendt, associate  director of our own Environmental Business and Management Institute (EMBI). New lights in the Union receive a high grade from students who note they facilitate better studying, and there’s a significant cost savings, as well. It’s the type of improvement that can be done at home or at one’s place of business, Arendt said.
